I need more of this in my life. Are there any black animators who will make another anime starring a black woman please??? As a person who loves Black women AND Anime, I absolutely love this take, and I will definitely be checking out Michiko to Hatchin in the future. I am here for REPRESENTATION. I create what I do because we need REPRESENTATION. It’s why I bristle a bit when people ask me why I don’t make art for a more “main-stream” audience. I get it, my digital drawings do not appeal to everyone. My coloring books and art are targeted towards black women/girls. I reflect what I see as beautiful, strong, women and this take right here just fired me up even more.
